JAMES BRAXTON - About Me

The point of this blog is to record the life of an antique auctioneer who also happens to appear on television. Both balance an ever-changing mixture of effort and fun, whilst both remain entertaining.

I am a founder director of The Fine Art Auction Group, who run five antique auction rooms. Three are in the South East of England, and two are in the South West. In the South East we have Bracketts in Tunbridge Wells, Salehurst Auctioneers in Ninfield near Battle, and Edgar Horns in Eastbourne. In the South West we are either side of Dartmoor in the towns of Honiton and Tavistock.

I bought Edgar Horns almost 12 years ago in September 1991, and acquired a controlling interest in Bracketts auction room in January 1995.

In September 1999 I and seven others founded an e-commerce business, iBrax.com, an internet auction site similar to eBay. We have since migrated back to the regional antique auction business under the banner of The Fine Art Auction Group.

I am looking forward to showing you my world.
